A must-have product from designers-factory, cotton piping can be used in all your sewing projects, between two fabrics or as a border on cushions for example.

Perfect when you are new to sewing, piping is easy to sew.

It allows you to make a nice decorative finish on your clothes and accessories, but also to give perfect roundings when your fabrics are recalcitrant.

The piping is sold in 5,46 yards or 10,93 yards pads.

The width of the total ribbon is 0,39″ (1cm) and the Piping thickness: 2.5mm or 0.1 inches.

To sew it you can use your usual presser foot but also a zipper foot which is normally supplied with all machines.
It is better to sew it in 2 steps, I have prepared a small tutorial that you will find in the pictures.

Little tip to avoid having too much thickness in the sewing, (especially with thick fabrics):

Remove 8mm of cord at the beginning and end of your piping with a quick cutter. Then sew the piping as normal, as if nothing had happened. You will have removed unnecessary thickness and avoided unsightly overthicknesses.
